Description

This early 19th-century mill chimney is made of hammer-dressed buff sandstone. It features a raking octagonal shape and has a projecting, castellated balcony on a moulded cornice just below the top. The chimney is part of a tunnel flue that runs up the cliff from the earlier Oak Bank Mill, which is located by the riverside. It serves as a very prominent landmark in the area.
