Description
No. 125 on King Street is a house, possibly originally an inn, that dates back to the early 18th century. It is constructed of brick with stone dressings and features a low-pitched slate roof. The building stands three storeys tall and has a six-window range, with a central arched entry that leads to a rear yard.
To the left of the passage, the house has a doorway framed by a simply moulded architrave, with two 12-pane sash windows to the right. The offices to the right have an entrance located in the passage. The ground floor of the street front has two 12-pane sash windows, while the first floor features 15-pane sashes, except for the window above the passage, which is a 12-pane sash. The second floor has 9-pane sashes. All windows are topped with flat-arched gauged brick heads that include plastered keystones. There are stone string courses between the storeys, angle quoins, and vertical bands in the parapet. A stack is located on the front wall to the left of the passageway.
Inside the right-hand section, there is a splat baluster staircase and oak panelling in the front room, which includes integral cupboards.
