Description
Castle Farm House is a farmhouse built in the late 18th century. It features whitened brick and a slate hipped roof. The building has two storeys and three bays. The entrance includes a six-panel door that is partly bead and flush and partly glazed, set within a recessed semi-circular arched entrance. This entrance is adorned with a radial bar fanlight and a doorcase that includes plinth blocks, architraves, springing blocks, and a key. The windows are recessed sashes with glazing bars, stone sills, and flat arches. There is a two-course-deep band at the first floor level. Notably, the south elevation has one ground floor window that is blocked. The roof features lead hips. Inside, there are six-panelled doors.
Additionally, the farmhouse has a two-bay link to a two-storey, one-bay gabled post office, but these elements are not of particular interest.
