Description

The Porch House, located at 64A and 64B Welsh Row, is a late 18th-century building constructed of red brick. It stands three storeys tall and has an L-shaped plan built around a cobbled courtyard. Originally a large house, it has been converted into two separate dwellings. The right-hand side features an advanced wing with one window, while the overall structure has five sash windows. To the left, there is an original entrance with a moulded wood doorcase, a pediment, an arched fanlight, and a six-panelled door. The right-hand house has a facsimile entrance. The building is topped with a hipped slate roof. The Porch House is part of a group that includes Nos 42 to 64 (even), 64A, 64B, and Nos 66 to 92 (even).
