Description

This is an early 19th-century house, originally a pair, later divided and partially used as offices. The building is constructed of brick with a stone-flagged roof. It is two storeys high, with a five-window front. A doorway was inserted to mark the division on the left side of centre; the original doorway is on the right and features a moulded surround with inscribed Greek decoration and side panels. Above the right-hand doorway is a traceried fanlight. The lower windows are 12-pane sashes, while the upper windows are 4-pane sashes, all with channelled painted stone lintels and keyblocks. The eaves cornice runs across the gable, forming a pediment with a round-arched window in the apex. There are end wall stacks. The right-hand unit contains the original staircase.
