Description
No. 59 on Roe Street is a pair of houses built in the early 19th century. They are constructed of brick and feature a stone-flagged roof. The building stands three storeys high and has a five-window range, which includes a single dwelling and a two-unit double-pile planned dwelling. The doorways are separated and flanked by four-pane sash windows, with an additional blind window to the left. The left-hand side has a six-panelled door with an overlight set in a moulded architrave, while the right-hand side features a six-panelled door with a radial fanlight in an open pedimented case. The upper windows are also four-pane sashes, all of which have flat-arched gauged brick heads. The eaves are plain wood, and there are end wall stacks.
