Description
The Mount is an early 19th-century house located on Anderston’s Lane in Henbury. It is constructed of stuccoed brick with a grey tile roof. The house has two storeys and a symmetrical three-bay garden front. A slightly projecting plinth and deep sills to the ground-floor windows are incised with a Greek key motif. Paired pilasters accentuate each corner, featuring incised decoration and connected by arches at the top. A deep band runs immediately below the first-floor windows. The windows are sash windows with a 3x4 pane configuration and margin glazing, with blind windows centrally on both floors. The hipped roof features a central leaded platform bordered by a cast iron handrail, and a central chimneystack containing eight flues and six arched niches. The house is entered from the right-hand side. The interior was not inspected.
