Description
Davenport Heyes is a house dating from the early 19th century. It is constructed of whitewashed brick with stone dressings and features a stone slate roof. The building has three storeys and a symmetrical entrance front with three bays. The central bay projects and has a pediment with a cambered-headed porch on the ground floor, which includes a painted stone arch and keystone. The front door consists of six raised and fielded panels. On either side of the door are windows with three panes by four panes, featuring splayed heads, painted stone sills, and keystones. The first floor has three similar windows that are taller than those on the ground floor, and the second floor also has three similar windows, but these have three panes by two panes. The building is topped with a shallow central pediment that has a wooden cornice.
