Description

The sundial located in the south forecourt at Arley Hall dates from the 18th century. It features an octagonal moulded stone base topped by a kneeling lead figure of an American Indian, who is depicted in a loincloth and supports the dial on his head. The sundial includes a contemporary plate and a 20th-century gnomon.
