Description

This is a pair of semi-detached houses located on Audley Road, Alsager. They were likely built in the late 17th or early 18th century. The houses are constructed of red brick in a Flemish bond pattern, with a plain tile roof. They are two storeys high.

The front elevation features bands of stretchers, supported on alternately projecting brick headers, between the ground and first floors and below the eaves. The central ground floor has two doorways with deep, flat-arched brick heads, now containing 20th-century doors. Flanking these doorways are three-light windows with flat-arched heads and 19th-century stone sills. The first floor has two similar three-light windows. Gable stacks are located at each gable end. The rear elevation mirrors the front with similar decorative bands between the floors and beneath the eaves.
