Description
The Old Vicarage is a house dating from the late 17th century. It is timber framed with whitewashed brick infill, although much of this has been overlaid or replaced by whitewashed English garden wall bond brick. The roof is made of stone slate.
On the north gable end, there is brick walling at the ground floor, featuring a 19th-century three-light casement window to the left and a door to the right. The first floor slightly jetties out and has a jettied window with five by two casement panes set in six by two cells of small framing, supported by angle braces. The jettied gable is held up by moulded brackets, and the gable itself includes small framing and angle struts.
The west front has a full wall post with an angle strut and 19th-century casements on the first floor, along with an early 19th-century stone porch to the right at the ground floor. There is also a substantial early 19th-century addition to the right side of the house.
