Description

31 to 37 Chapel Street is a mid-19th century row of modest small houses constructed from red brick and standing two storeys high. Number 31, known as the Forester's Arms Inn, features two sash windows and a doorway with a semi-circular head and a plain fanlight. The other houses in the row each have one sash window and an arched doorway with a blocked fanlight. The eaves are plain, and the roofs are covered with slates. While this range does not possess significant architectural merit, it adds to the overall appearance of the street. It is included for its group value with the former National Sunday School and other nearby buildings.
