Description
Apple Tree Cottage is a house dating from the mid-17th century. It is constructed of whitewashed English garden wall bond brick and features a timber frame with brick infill, along with tile hanging and a tile roof. The building has two cells and two storeys, following a baffle-entry plan.
On the entrance front, the left side is tile hung while the right side is brick. There is a central 19th-century doorway with a canopy porch. To the left on the ground floor, there is a three-light casement window, and a similar window is located to the right. The first floor has three-light dormer casements. The right gable end displays small framing with angle braces and brick infill. At the rear, there is a 19th-century outshut. A central ridge chimney stack is also present.
