Description
Broad Oak Farm is a house that dates from the late 17th century, with early 19th century additions. It is constructed of red English garden wall bond brick, featuring stone dressings, and has a roof made of stone slate and slate. The building has three storeys.
On the entrance front, the 17th century part is on the left, showcasing three storeys with moulded brick string courses between the ground and first floors, and between the first and second floors. The gable has stone copings and kneelers. The ground floor has a 19th century three-light casement window with a cambered head, with a similar window on the first floor and a two-light window on the second floor. To the right, there is a 20th century lean-to porch, followed by a 19th century addition that includes two three-light casement windows with cambered heads on both the ground and first floors. A further 20th century lean-to addition is located at the far right.
The left-hand side elevation features a two-light 19th century ovolo-moulded casement window on the ground floor and a similar window on the first floor to the left. The right-hand side has bricked-in 18th century windows on the ground and first floors, which have splayed heads.
