Description
Dairy Farm House is a farmhouse dating from the late 16th century to early 17th century. It features a timber frame with rendered infill, English garden wall bond brick, and a stone slate roof. The building is two storeys tall and has an H-plan layout.
On the garden front, there is a stone plinth and a central portion with 14 by 3 cells of small framing. The ground floor has a window with three casement lights, while the first floor has a window with three lights. There are gabled wings on either side, each with four-light windows on both the ground and first floors, and panels of Chevron strutting. The left wing has Chevron strutting in the gable panels, while the right wing features V-strutting.
Inside, the ground-floor rooms have ovolo-moulded beams. The parlour fireplace has a heavily moulded bressumer with moulded stone supports on either side. One exposed truss showcases heavy principals and a chamfered cambered tie, which is supported by chamfered wall posts.
