Description
No. 92 King Street is a pair of shops, likely built as a shop and dwelling around 1830, with some alterations from the late 19th century. The building is constructed of brick and features a slate roof. It stands two storeys high and has a five-window range that is slightly angled along the street. To the right of the entrance, there is an inserted bow window, and the entrance itself is accessed by steps leading to a segmental arch with a lion's head keystone. The entrance includes a recessed four-panelled door. The late 19th-century shop front to the right has a central recessed doorway and a panelled dado below the windows, which feature lozenge glazing in the upper lights. The upper windows are all 12-pane sashes with painted stone flat-arched heads and sills. A heavy moulded eaves cornice adds to the building's character. There is a long wing at the rear, which was likely originally used for stabling or storage. The interior has not been inspected.
