Description
Park House is an early 19th-century house constructed of whitened brickwork in English Garden Wall Bond, topped with a shallow pitched, two-span slate roof. The building stands two storeys tall and features six bays, with two and three-storey rear wings on the north-west side, creating an "F" shaped plan. The entrance boasts a four-panelled door with fielded panels and bolection moulds, set within a moulded doorcase that includes a rectangular overlight. This is flanked by projecting stone pilasters with weathered plinths and moulded caps, which support a flat hood with a coved cornice.
Most windows are recessed sashes with glazing bars, stone sills, and wedge lintels, although there are also tripartite windows with relieving arches. A prominent feature is a large canted bay with three sashes located to the north-east of the entrance. The end bays are designed with open-pediment gables that have wide soffites supported by cantilevered timbers, while two other bays feature shallow coped gables. The central bay is highlighted by a dentil cornice topped with a wide soffite, also supported by cantilevered timbers. Inside, the house includes some panelled window shutters and six-panelled doors.
