Description

Oakfield is a late 18th and early 19th century house located on Stapley Road in Stapley. The house is constructed of orange brick with painted ashlar dressings, and has a plain tile roof. It is three stories high. The front elevation is symmetrically arranged with three bays. A projecting extension to the centre ground floor features a tripartite porch with Doric columns. Either side of the porch are tripartite windows with flat arched heads. The first floor has three windows, each with four sash panes, and wedge lintels. The second floor has three windows, each with two sash panes, and also with wedge lintels. A moulded stone cornice runs along the top of the wall. The roof is hipped, with chimney stacks on either side.
