Description
Demesne House is a range of four farm cottages that have been converted into one house, built between 1771 and 1790 by Samuel Wyatt. The structure is made of red Flemish bond brick and features a plain slate roof. It stands two storeys tall.
The entrance front has a central slight projection with a gable above. On the ground floor, there are two windows with 4 x 4 sash panes and two 2-light casements above. Flanking this central section are five bays, which have been significantly altered. Each side has three ground floor sash windows with 4 x 4 panes and a door on the left that includes a fanlight. On the first floor, there are three 2-light casement windows on the right and two similar windows on the left. Many of the original window openings have been blocked, and evidence of alterations can be seen in the brickwork, particularly with the ground floor openings. The rear of the building has extensive additions. This property is included for its group value with the barn and farm buildings.
