Description
Greenfields is an early to mid-17th century farmhouse constructed of red Flemish bond brick, with a plain tile roof. It is two storeys high with an attic. The entrance front has three bays, featuring a central 19th-century porch with canted bays on either side. Bands of brick, two bricks deep, are visible between the ground and first floors, and above the first-floor windows. Three three-light cambered-headed casement windows are located on the first floor. A two-storey wing of reduced height adjoins the left side. The right-hand gable end is distinguished by ashlar kneelers and coping. The rear elevation showcases a gabled wing on the right, also with ashlar kneelers and coping.
Inside, the parlour displays ovolo moulded ceiling beams with ogee stops. The first floor is characterised by chamfered ceiling beams and ‘in and out’ boarding on the doors.
