Description

The District Bank, built in 1863, is a two-storey structure designed by architect Alfred Waterhouse in the Gothic style. It features grey brick construction with blue brick decoration, along with sandstone dressings and bands. The roof is tiled. The central doorway is flanked by gables, with the left gable containing an oriel window on the ground floor and a two-light window above, both set under a Gothic relieving arch.
