Description
St Stephen's Vicarage was built in 1863 and designed by architect Joseph Clarke. This two-storey building is constructed of red brick, featuring stone and terra cotta dressings. The front of the vicarage faces south and includes a projecting gabled bay on the left with an entrance porch to the right, which is sheltered by a lean-to roof. There is a recessed gabled wing on the left side. The facade showcases three sets of two stone mullioned windows, each with chamfered, keyed surrounds. The windows in the left-hand gable of the projecting bay are set under a blind arch adorned with banded terra cotta tiles in the tympanum. To the right, there is a window topped with a small gable and a pointed arched doorway. The building features brick stacks with vertical ribs, stone coped parapets, and tiled roofing.
