Description

This is an early 19th-century building on the south side of High Street. It is a two-storey and attic structure with five sash windows, each featuring a flat brick arch and stone sills. Number 10 has a distinctive wooden doorcase with a moulded pilaster, an open pediment, a radial fanlight, and a door composed of four rounded panels. The eaves are also moulded wood. Number 14 incorporates a parapet, and the roof is hipped with slate, punctuated by four later 19th-century gabled dormers. Modern shop fronts have been installed. The building’s return side, extending to Number 12 Albert Place, is three stories tall.
