Description

A terrace of three houses built around 1840, located on James Street in Macclesfield. The buildings are constructed with distinctive Flemish bond brickwork and have Welsh slate roofs. They present a six-window facade over two storeys. Each house has a four-panelled door recessed within a stepped brick arch, topped with a radial fanlight. The windows are nine-pane sashes, set within flat-arched brick surrounds on both floors. A central, round-arched doorway provides access to a rear passage. The return elevation facing Ryle Street features a three-window arrangement, including two four-pane sashes and a single blind window on the right. The terrace is an integral part of the buildings at 80-96 Park Lane. Various axial and end wall stacks rise through the hipped roof.
