Description
Bradford Lodge and Bradford Lodge Nursery is a farmhouse and cottage built around 1820 for Sir J T Stanley, with alterations made in the late 19th century. The building is constructed from ashlar red sandstone and features a Welsh slate roof, along with two brick ridge chimneys. It has a two-storey, five-bay front. The windows are three-light chamfered stone mullions with deeply recessed iron casements. There are two doors located near the center, each sheltered by added gabled wooden porches. To the left, there is a blocked doorcase in a plain stone surround. On the right side, a lean-to is positioned behind a coped wall, which includes a two-light stone mullioned window. The left gable features four 25-pane sash windows.
