Description
Flume Head, formerly known as Little Patch, is a cottage dating from the 17th century, which has had significant extensions added in the 20th century to its sides and rear. The original structure is built from ashlar red sandstone, while the extensions are made of brick. It features a Kerridge stone-slate roof with a stone ridge and one brick chimney. The cottage was originally designed with a gable entry and consists of two rooms. The gable facing the road includes three-light chamfered stone mullioned windows with lattice-leaded glazing on both storeys. Inside, there is an ovolo-moulded ceiling beam and exposed joists in the main room.
