Description
The corn barn, dating from the 17th century, is located 40 meters south of Green Farmhouse. It is constructed of coursed buff sandstone rubble and features projecting through stones, a Kerridge stone-slate roof, and a stone ridge. The barn is rectangular with three bays and has entrances on opposite sides, each with flat wooden lintels and projecting rubble drip courses above. There are three lines of ventilation slots along the sides and the now hidden ends of the barn. Inside, there are two roof trusses made of tie beams, with short diagonal struts supporting the lower purlins and a collar above. The through purlins and ridge overlap at each truss. A single bay stable is located to the east, and a shippon added in 1896 is situated at right angles to the west, but these structures are not included in the listing.
