Description

The grain drying kiln, located south-east of Swettenham Mill, dates from around 1765. It is constructed of red brick and features a tile roof. The building is single storey and has a floor made of purpose-made tiles designed for drying grain, which is heated from below. The roof is supported by a king post truss and purlin structure. This kiln is included for its group value with the nearby mill.
