Description
Gilpin House is a house dating to circa 1830. It is constructed of incised render with a plinth, and has a Welsh slate roof with flat stone gable coping. The two-storey, three-window façade features sash windows in plain reveals with projecting painted stone sills. A six-panelled door is set beneath an oblong fanlight, sheltered by a tall, flat Tuscan doorcase with a projecting cornice, which rests on the lower of two stone steps. There are two end brick chimneys with bands, and a single rear brick chimney. The roof is hipped on the left side. A painted inscription reading "GILPIN HOUSE" appears at the extreme right of the first floor.
