Description

Lilburn House is a house dating from around 1800. It is constructed from coursed squared limestone with sandstone dressings, and has a roof of Welsh slate. The house is two storeys high and has five sash windows, each with projecting stone sills and stone lintels. The front door is a four-panelled door, located in the second bay from the left, set within deep panelled reveals and a simple doorcase of pilasters and an entablature. A carriage entrance is situated on the right-hand side; it features boarded doors within a rusticated elliptical-headed opening with voussoirs. An iron footscraper is set on a stone step in front of the door. The left end of the roof has flat stone coping resting on curved stone kneelers. There is a rendered chimney running across the ridge on the left side, and a brick chimney running across the ridge between the fourth and fifth bays.
