Description
Hill House is a mid-19th century house located on the north side of Front Street in Whitburn. The house is rendered and has a Welsh slate roof. It has two storeys and four windows. The ground floor has three sash windows, while the first floor has four windows with glazing bars. A four-panelled door, with the upper part glazed, is set within an Ionic doorcase featuring a pulvinated frieze and a pediment. Wooden brackets at the eaves are similar to those at the adjacent No. 53. The roof has stone gable coping which rests on curved knellers. There are two corniced stone chimneys at each end of the roof.
