Description
This building, located south of Clavering House and currently used as offices, dates from around 1780. It is constructed of brick that is rough-rendered, with left quoins and a right return gable peak that is tumbled-in. The roof is made of Welsh slate and features two brick chimneys on the central front ridge, along with a later right end chimney that has an ashlar string and cornice. The house is two storeys tall and has five bays, with the central bay being wider. The central entrance consists of double doors with over-and side-lights, set within a flat Tuscan doorcase that has a prominent cornice. The ground floor sashes have projecting stone sills, while the upper parts are from the late 19th century, and the lower parts have been renewed. The first floor features sashes with glazing bars, and there is a floor and sill band present. The building is topped with a modillioned eaves cornice.
