Description

Shops and houses, now offices, dating to around 1836 and designed by Dobson for Richard Grainger. The building is constructed of sandstone ashlar with a roof that is not visible. It is four storeys high and six bays wide. The ground floor has flat pilasters and an entablature, with alterations from the 20th century. The upper floors contain sash windows, some with glazing bars set in plain reveals. A band runs along the second floor, surmounted by a second-floor entablature. The building is finished with a top cornice.
