Description

Nos. 15 and 17 Grey Street are shops and houses, now used as offices, built around 1835, likely designed by John Wardle for Richard Grainger. The buildings are in a Classical style, constructed from sandstone ashlar with a plinth and topped with a Welsh slate roof. The ground floor has been altered, but above it features a giant Corinthian Order with sash windows that have glazing bars set within architraves. There is a plain entablature with a prominent cornice. The third-floor windows have plain reveals, and there are pilasters supporting the top entablature and blocking course.
