Description

The tomb of Robert Moscrop is located about 4 metres south and 5 metres east of the west end of the Church of St. Andrew in Lamesley. This Grade II listed grave slab is made of sandstone and features an inscription that commemorates Robert Moscrop, a miller, along with his wife Katherine and their children. The inscription also notes his gift of 5 pounds to the parish, which was intended to provide 10 shillings a year for the poor. At the foot of the slab, there are symbols associated with millers. The tomb is dated 3rd May 1621.
