Description
High Thornton Moor Farmhouse is an 18th-century building that has undergone some alterations. It is constructed of local red brick and features a roof that has been renewed with ridged concrete tiles and end chimneys. The farmhouse has early 19th-century sash windows with glazing bars set in exposed wood frames, all positioned under stuccoed lintels. There is a modern glazed door at the entrance. The building stands two storeys tall and has two windows, giving it fairly large proportions. To the right, there are contemporary one-storey extensions that have been patched with modern brick and have a roof that is partly covered with pantiles. The left extensions are not of particular interest.
