Description
Thornton Grange is an 18th-century house of large proportions located on Seamer Road in Maltby. It is constructed of small red bricks and features a high-pitched pantiled roof with swept eaves. The house has two storeys and four irregular bays, with 19th-century sash windows on the right and modern casements on the left. There is a modern half-glazed door set within a glazed porch. The right gable displays tumbled-in brickwork and includes a flight of steps leading to a first-floor door. The rear wall is rendered but retains its original windows. The chimneys, located at the center and ends, have been partly rebuilt.
