Description

The Londonderry Almshouses are three one-storey cottages built in 1838, designed in the Tudor style. They are constructed of painted brick with stone dressings and feature a slated roof. Each cottage has a central door located under a gable with kneelers, flanked by casement windows, all of which are set beneath drip moulds (some of which were missing at the time of the survey). The pointed studded doors include tracery in the spandrels. Additionally, there is tracery beneath a pediment-shaped label above a plaque in the central gable that reads: "ERECTED BY FRANCES ANNE VANE, MARCHIONESS OF LONDONDERRY AD 1838."
