REDCAR KIRKLEATHAM NZ 52 SE 4/55 Buttress with coat-of-arms, c.2m east of Turner Mausoleum G.V. II

Cartouche, c.1742 and buttress, 1980. Portland stone; random rubble buttress. Battered buttress supports cartouche with coat-of-arms of Marwood William Turner d.1739; being the arms of Turner, Pepys, Marwood and Cholmley quartered. Scalloped crest. Originally suspended from the drum of Turner Mausoleum, q.v.
