Description

Wark Cottage is a house dating from 1851, situated on the north side of Whittingham Village, near Callaly. Constructed of ashlar, it has a Welsh slate roof and is built in the Tudor style. The house is two storeys high and has three bays. The central entrance is a boarded door. The ground floor also features small four-pane sashes. The first floor has three gabled half-dormers, each containing a two-light window with close-set, diamond-paned sashes. The date '1851' is inscribed on the lintel of the central first-floor window. The roof is gabled, with ridged coiling and tall, paired, corniced diagonally-set end stacks.
