Description

The causeway and bridge over Cockshaw Burn, located on the drive to Breckon Hill Farm, date from the 19th century. This structure features a raised causeway that spans across the valley and is supported by three high brick-lined arches. The bridge is constructed from rubble and has a set-back parapet at its level, which is buckled on both sides. Additionally, the main body of the bridge and the causeway are reinforced with tie rods in several locations.
