Description

The Leazes is a house dating to circa 1853, designed by John Dobson for William Kinsopp. It is a two-storey and attic building with five windows, plus a large two-storey, three-light bay on the left side. The house is constructed of brick with stone quoins, dressings, eaves modillions, and coped gables. There are three gables, each with an attic window. It features glazing bar sash windows with labels. A shallow bay is present in the centre of the ground floor, and to the right is a loggia-style porch with Doric columns. Inside, a fine colonnade leads to the staircase hall, and there is a Gothic-style hall fireplace.
