Description
Craig's Barn is an 18th-century former cottage located at the end of Highford Lane, best accessed from Quarry House. The building stands alone within a partly stone-walled enclosure. It features a combination of rubble construction with quoins and stop-chamfered buck dressings, and triangular stones in the roof verges. The barn has an asbestos roof and a dismantled chimney. There is one blocked door on the west side and various blocked openings, along with one door on the north side. The east side has three doors, one of which is accessed by steps leading to the first floor, where living quarters are situated above animal sheds and a granary. The loft has now been dismantled.
