Description
Greenfield Cottage is a gardener's cottage built around 1830-1840. It is constructed from squared stone with tooled-and-margined quoins and dressings, topped with a Welsh slate roof. The cottage is single-storey and has two bays. The central entrance features a boarded door with a fanlight set under a Tudor arch. There are 4-pane sash windows with slightly projecting sills, and all openings are framed with alternating-block surrounds. The hipped roof has a ridge stack located to the left of center, which features twin diagonally-set corniced shafts. On the right side of the building, there is a narrow 8-pane sash window. A later extension at the rear is not considered of special interest. The cottage is included for its group value.
