Description
This stable and cartshed, located 20 meters east of Avenue Farmhouse North, dates from the 18th century and was extended and remodeled in the 19th century. It is constructed of rubble with cut dressings and features a 20th-century pantile roof. The building has one storey and consists of two wide bays. The left part is the original 18th-century structure, which includes a boarded door flanked by small windows. The extension on the right has boarded double doors set under a segmental arch, with a small opening to the right beneath a segmental brick relieving arch. The gables are coped and feature moulded kneelers.
The left side of the building shows three tiers of accommodation for pigs, poultry, and doves, with a square-headed sty opening, projecting stone steps leading up to a henhouse opening, and a dovecote in the gable. The right side displays a blocked segmental arch with brick voussoirs set low in the wall. The rear elevation features a part-slatted window set within a blocked segmental arch.
