Description

Clavering's Cross is a medieval stone cross located in Netherwitton, Stanton. It features a square shaft with chamfered angles and a continuous groove running down the south face, which is broken off 1.5 meters above the base. The cross stands on a square plinth made of roughly-shaped blocks. It is said that the cross head is buried in the dike on the west side of the field.
