Description

Mitford Bridge, built in the late 19th century, spans the River Font. It is constructed from squared tooled stone and features ashlar voussoirs. The bridge has a band and parapet made of tooled-and-margined stone, with a brick soffit. The design includes a slightly hog-backed shape and a segmental arch, along with a band below the parapet that has low gabled coping. The structure ends in piers topped with low pyramidal caps.
