Description

Nos. 8 and 9 form a pair of late 18th or early 19th century cottages. They are two storeys high and originally had four windows. The construction is of coursed rubble, with raised quoins and cill bands. The windows are glazing bar sash windows, although one is now blocked. A simple doorcase is situated off-centre to the left, sheltering a six-panel door with a rectangular, glazed fanlight above. Quoins are visible to the left of a wide through passage, which connects to No. 8 at the rear. No. 8 is a two-storey, three-window lean-to addition against a factory building, which is of local interest.
