Description
The outbuildings to the north-east of Newton Low Hall date from the late 18th century. They are constructed from squared tooled stone and feature Scottish slate roofs, forming an L-plan layout. The north range is two storeys high with three irregular bays. It includes a boarded door with an overlight in the left bay, a 6-pane casement window, an altered sash window to the right, and small part-slatted windows above. The gables are coped. The left return of this range shows a part-slatted window and a boarded opening in the gable. The east range is a single storey with six irregular bays. The left part was originally a three-bay cartshed, now featuring a boarded door and a 4-pane Yorkshire sash window inserted into the blocked openings. The right part has two boarded doors and paired 6-pane casements, with the roof hipped to the right. An altered pent extension at the rear of the north range is not of interest.
