Description
Farmbuildings attached to Overgrass Old Farmhouse date from the late 17th century or early 18th century, with heightening and extensions made in the late 18th century and early 19th century. The buildings are constructed from squared rubble with cut dressings and feature a Welsh slate roof, except for pantiles on the south range. The layout is T-shaped, comprising a two-storey range connected to the farmhouse at the east end and a single-storey south range.
The two-storey section has two boarded doors and slit vents, along with a boarded pitching door and five small square loft windows above. The left side has a cart entrance under a timber lintel and additional slit vents. The south range includes two stable doors and three small windows on the east side, and on the west side, there is a boarded door and four stable doors. At the end of this range, there is a lower henhouse featuring an old six-panel door on the east and two henholes with stone shelves below on the west. All gables have reverse-stepped coping.
A later covered yard to the north of the two-storey range is not of interest.
